President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has exercised his right to vote.
President Solih exercised his right to vote in the second round of the 2023 Presidential Election at around 10:50 am on Saturday.
He cast his vote to the Lhaviyani Atoll ballot box-01 in Male' City, stationed in Jamaluddin School.
President Solih is the presidential candidate of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Speaking to the press after casting his vote, President Solih urged the public to exercise their right to vote.
The President said he hoped to win the second round of the election.
The President said that until the last minute, the mindset of various politicians was changing and it is difficult to say the exact percentage he would receive to gain victory. However, he believes he will win the election.
Adding that the election is going well, President Solih stated that about 86 percent of the population is expected to vote.
