The 7th edition of the Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) 2023 has concluded successfully.
TTM is the Maldives' largest travel trade show.
TTM 2023 was held on 22nd and 23rd August, at the Meerumaa Conference Facility.
TTM Maldives 2023 brought together distinguished guests, partners, and industry leaders for the two-day event.
The show provided a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration among key stakeholders in the travel and hospitality sector. The event included TTM Connect Meetings over two days and culminated with the TTM Awards and Gala Night on the final day at the Crossroads Maldives.
The pre-scheduled TTM Connect Meetings went on from 9 am to 5 pm on 22 August. The event made use of TTM Connect software with exciting features including virtual profiles and video call features to execute hybrid meetings simultaneously during the event.
Every year, TTM Maldives sees over 3000 pre-scheduled meetings among 500 travel trade professionals with over USD one billion worth of contracts discussed. As such, this year's event featured more than 100 exhibiting resorts, accommodating over 200 agents, operators and local DMCs from diverse markets, leading to an excess of 3000 pre-scheduled meetings.
The event's inauguration was marked by an opening speech delivered by the CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives, Thoyyib Mohamed.
The event's opening ceremony featured enlightening presentations from renowned industry giants such as Agoda, Trip.com, and Booking.com. These experts not only illuminated the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global travel landscape but also offered attendees profound perspectives on the industry's ever-evolving dynamics.
The TTM Awards and Gala of TTM Maldives 2023 was a night of celebration, recognition, and appreciation for the outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry of the Maldives. This year's awards were expanded to encompass 20 different categories, showcasing excellence across resorts, hotels, and top producers.
The closing event of TTM Maldives 2023 proved to be a remarkable social gathering of travel trade industry professionals where they were able to enjoy dinner, live music and networking.
TTM Maldives 2023 was made possible through the support and collaboration of esteemed partners. The organizers of the event, Orca Media Group, have also revealed that the tentative dates for TTM Maldives 2024 are set for August 21st to 22nd, 2024.
