A newly completed water and sewerage network and a water supply system have been inaugurated in two islands of Raa atoll.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the newly completed water and sewerage infrastructure in Inguraidhoo and Innamaadhoo islands, as part of his campaign tour across Raa atoll, ongoing under his campaign for re-election in this year’s Presidential election, slated for September.

The projects inaugurated on Thursday include the water and sewerage network in Inguraidhoo, carried out by Altec Maldives Private Limited and a water supply network in Innamaadhoo which was completed by the Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).

This comes under efforts by the administration to develop water and sewerage networks across all inhabited islands which has in turn been significantly improving the quality of life for the island communities.

The initiatives underway across these islands represent significant investments in the development and well-being of island communities and are expected to enhance their quality of life.

The incumbent administration has made significant strides towards the equitable development of all inhabited islands nationwide without discrimination, under the capable leadership of President Solih.

President Solih has been officially inaugurating several development initiatives that have been completed across the scatter of islands comprising the Maldives, as part of his campaign tours.
