President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has officially inaugurated several newly completed infrastructure projects in Kendhoo Island of Baa Atoll.

The completion of these projects were marked on Tuesday, as part of the President's tour of the atoll.

Marked on Tuesday were the completion of the island's coastal protection project, the new football ground, and the new volleyball court.

The coastal protection project was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Under the scope of the project, MTCC was required to conduct dredging operations of the swimming track as well as construct a breakwater measuring 803 meters.

A revetment measuring 80 meters was also included under the scope of the project.

The project was valued at MVR 39.9 million.

The newly inaugurated football ground in Kendhoo Island, layered with turf, features state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. The administration contracted its development to Myna Sports Field Pvt. Ltd.

The modern volleyball court in the island was developed by Maldives Assure Supply.

These developments represent significant investments in the well-being and development of the local community.
