The company commenced the course on 30 July, 2023, with six participants.

MACL disclosed that this comprehensive training program is designed to empower air traffic control professionals and strengthen the company's air navigation services.

The training program spans for eight weeks.

The training is being lead by instructor Richard Thomas Smith from Global ATS / UK, along with MACL's instructors Mohmed Athuhar and Ahmed Nazeer.

MACL notes that the company places immense importance on advancing the skills and expertise of its air traffic control personnel, as the entity mandated to provide air navigation services to all airports in the Maldives. The company noted that the commencement of the 1st ATC Radar Control Training underscores their commitment to excellence in aviation services. The went onto say that by constantly investing in advanced training programs and facilities, the company strengthens its position as a premier provider of air navigation services in the region.
