The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a manhunt for an individual wanted in connection with an attempt to murder case.
In a publication on Monday, MPS revealed that they are on the lookout for a man who was allegedly involved in a case of gang violence.
The man is accused of attempting to murder a person, using sharp and dangerous weapons.
Wanted in connection with the attempt to murder case is Ibrahim Abdulla, 32 and native to Malé City.
Abdulla is being sought by the Serious and Organized Crime Department of the police for his alleged involvement in a gang violence, using sharp and dangerous weapons to attempt to kill a person.
A court order has been issued upon the police institution for his arrest.
The public has been urged to contact the police Serious and Organized Crime Department on 9911099 or the police hotline 3322111 if any information on the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
The police institution also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the support and assistance extended in such cases.
