R. Inguraidhoo health center upgrading project was signed on Tuesday
The upgrading of the health center in Inguraidhoo island of Raa atoll, has been contracted.
The upgrading of Inguraidhoo Health Center was awarded to Duplex Private Limited during a special ceremony held for the occasion at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed by Senior Executive Director Abdul Hannan Hussain on behalf of the ministry and Managing Director Mohamed Aslam on behalf of the company.
The project was awarded to be completed within 540 days.
The upgrading of Inguraidhoo Health Center is valued at MVR 76,869,858.52.
The government has been working to develop rural health centers and regional hospitals to further develop the country's health system across the scatter of islands comprising Maldives.
As such, efforts are underway to develop hospitals in five regions of the country at the tertiary level.
