Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that the second phase of the Road Construction Project of Ungoofaaru Island of Raa Atoll is well underway.
MTCC on Sunday, disclosed that the project is currently underway with 51 percent overall project completion.
The company further stated that 89 percent of lightpost installation work has been completed.
Additionally, subgrade preparation work under the project has reached 40 percent completion.
The company has so far completed the installation work of stormwater tanks and settlement tank.
Scope of work of the project involve a carriageway of 16,488 square meters, sidewalks, stormwater management system, road lighting and road markings.
The road development project was contracted to MTCC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and was mobilized on 12th June 2019.
The project is valued at MVR. 30.3 million.
