An individual wanted in connection with a case being probed by the Maldives Police Service (MPS), has been summoned for questioning.
In a publication on Sunday, MPS revealed that the summons was issued under Section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the institution while investigating criminal cases.
The summons was issued after efforts to locate the man and issue the summons notice were to no avail as his whereabouts remain unknown to the authorities, as well as the suspect’s family.
He is wanted for questioning in connection with a case linked to drugs submitted to and being probed by the Drug Enforcement Department (DED)
Being sought is Mohamed Akram Abdul Hannan, 33 and native to Hoadedhdhoo island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
Akram is to present himself to the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building where the police institution is headquartered, at 2pm on April 13.
