President offers condolences following K. Guraidhoo MP's passing
He offered sympathies and condolences to the family of the late parliamentarian in this regard
Ibrahim Riza represented the K. Guraidhoo constituency in the People's Majlis
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has extended condolences to the family of MP Ibrahim Riza, following his passing.
Riza, the parliamentarian for K. Guraidhoo constituency, passed away late Wednesday.
The lawmaker had been undergoing treatment for cancer for a long period of time before his passing.
Riza had been seeking treatment from abroad recently due to his declining health and died while receiving treatment for cancer in Malaysia.
In a Twitter post on Thursday, President Solih revealed that the parliamentarian had been providing services to the People’s Majlis for an extensive period.
He offered sympathies and condolences to the family of the late parliamentarian in this regard.
The late lawmaker had served as an MP during the 17th and 18th People’s Majlis as well.
Riza was also elected member of the People’s Majlis at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), during the previous administration.
