Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has congratulated Adam Burakowski for completing a successful ambassadorial tenure.

Burakowski, the Ambassador of Poland to Maldives, paid a farewell call on FM Shahid at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday.

The call saw FM Shahid congratulating the ambassador on the completion of his successful tenure.

The Maldivian foreign minister also expressed appreciation for his role in strengthening the bilateral ties between Maldives and Poland.

Both parties reviewed some of the key bilateral cooperation areas between Maldives and Poland, some of which include trade and economic ties, tourism cooperation, education, the partnership between Maldives and the European Union and Schengen visa facilitation.

Multilateral issues of mutual importance were also topics of discussion at the meeting.

The meeting was joined by State Minister Ahmed Khaleel, Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Assistant Director Fathmath Lamya Imthiyaz.
