M. Kolhufushi shore protection project
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the shore protection project of Kolhufushi island in Meemu Atoll.
MTCC disclosed that the project was completed on 29 January 2023.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC completed dredging operations of 9683 cubic meters. This included a 5,575 cubic meters swimming area and a 4,108 cubic meters area of central waste area.
The company also constructed a 202 meter breakwater and a 519 mete revetment.
The value of the project is MVR 22.96 million.
The project was handed over to the company by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
