Another case of gang violence has surfaced in the congested capital of Maldives, Malé City.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the assault was reported to them at around 00:37am on Thursday and that the assault took place near Charcoal Café located in Lonuziyaarai Magu.
Injured in the assault after being attacked with a sharp weapon is a 30-year-old man.
The man had been taken to ADK Hospital for further treatment, according to the MPS.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the assault.
Further details of the incident were not disclosed by the police institution.
