Police seek public help in locating missing man

A search has been launched for a missing man.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Thursday revealed that they launched the search for the man after receiving reports of a missing person in the congested capital, Malé City.

Missing is Hassan Rameez, 34 and native to Maaenboodhoo island of Dhaalu atoll.

Rameez’s family reported him missing to the police on January 10.

The family revealed that they hadn’t seen or heard from him since January 6.

The authority’s efforts to find the man have been to no avail so far, with which the publication for public assistance was issued on Thursday.

The public has been urged to contact the police through hotline 3322111 or the Kudahuvadhoo Police Station through 9792052 if any information on Rameez’s whereabout is attained.

The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude for the immense public assistance and support received in connection with such cases.
