Fenaka cuts power to three districts in Addu City

Three districts in Addu City has been experiencing power outages on Wednesday
State utilities company, the Fenaka Corporation, has been cutting power from three districts in Addu City, said mayor Abdulla Sodiq.
While Mayor Sodiq himself said this to RaajjeMV, a resident in Addu City has reported this well.
The resident said that the Fenaka Corporation has been cutting power due to an ongoing issue with a generator in the city. Reportedly, the corporation has sporadically been cutting power since the issue occurred earlier on Wednesday.
Fenaka Corporation’s Managing Director, Ahmed Shareef, said that the power cuts are caused by an ongoing upgrade of one of the generators.
While Fenaka Corporation handles electricity supply to all islands across the nations, several have had faced power outages recently. As such, Alifushi island in Raa atoll and Nadellaa in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll have faced day-long power outages this week as well.
