Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) wrapped up 130 projects in three years, said the Managing Director of the company, Adam Azim.
Azim stated this during the foundation laying function of Raa Alifushi Airport Terminal on Thursday.
Speaking at the function, Azim noted that the land reclamation and airport development project of Alifushi is the biggest project that has been handed over to the company so far.
Noting that the company works to bring the developmental vision of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, to life, Azim stated that the company has completed a total of 130 projects within the last three years.
Azim went on to say that the company faced numerous challenges in achieving this, specially during the Covid-19 pandemic. He emphasized on the hard work of the company staff to carry on with their projects even with all the hurdles, stating that this is the reason why they were able to finish the projects as scheduled.
Azim also stated that the company's capacity has seen a drastic change since the current administration took office. As such, he noted that when President Solih took office, and he was given the position of the Managing Director of MTCC, the company had the capacity of taking on 20 to 25 projects at the same time.
Azim stated that the company now, have the capacity to take up-to 100 different projects at the same time, and still complete them all within the given time frame.
