Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the work on design and build of Lh. Hinnavaru Island's Harbor Development Project has seen overall 66.48 percent project progress.
Highlighting that the company has completed construction of quay wall, breakwater and groyne, MTCC noted that the project is well underway.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to reclaim 3.2 hectares of land, dredge 65,170.76 cubic meters, construct a quay wall measuring 421 meters and a breakwater measuring 123.9 meters.
Additionally, the company is also required to build a revetment of 170.55 meters, construct a groyne and a harbor pavement.
The project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning Housing and Infrastructure on 10 November 2020 and mobilized on 13 March 2021.
The project is contracted to be completed within 350 days, and is valued at MVR 99.52 million.
