Shore Protection Project of Dhevvadhoo Island of Gaafu Alif Atoll has been handed over to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company.
The project was handed over to the company by Ministry of National Planning Housing and Infrastructure on Thursday.
General Manager of MTCC Shifaau Ali signed the agreement on behalf of the company and Director General Fathmath Shaanaa Faarooq signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry.
Under the scope of the project installation of 120-meter rock boulder revetments in north, east and south of Dhevvadhoo, and construction of 11 440-meter Y-shaped groynes will be done.
The Shore Protection Project of Dhevvadhoo is valued at MVR 22.79 million and to be completed within 210 days.
