Search continues for suspect wanted in ongoing court case

Mohamed Sharooj Adam is being located to be produced before a local court for custodial interrogation
The search for an individual required to be presented before court, regarding an ongoing court case, is still ongoing.
This was revealed by the Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Monday.
MPS revealed that this is the second time a summons notice has been publicized, for the individual.
Being sought in connection with the case is Mohamed Sharooj Adam, 37 and native to Malé City.
The first publication was issued on December 10 and Adam is being sought to be taken into police custody and be presented before court in connection with an ongoing case at the Criminal Court.
The Criminal Court had issued an order on the MPS to do the needful in locating the suspect.
The man is charged with overpowering another individual’s property illegally.
He is to be presented before the Criminal Court at 9am, on December 14.
The police institution has sought public assistance in locating the man and urged the public to reach out to their custodial department through 9991442 if any information on the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
MPS took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the generous assistance and support extended in such cases.
