Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a search for an individual required to be presented before court, regarding an ongoing court case.
The police institution, in a publication earlier this week, revealed that the man is being sought to be taken into police custody and be presented before court in connection with an ongoing case at the Criminal Court.
The Criminal Court has issued an order on the MPS to do the needful in locating the suspect.
Being sought in connection with the case is Mohamed Sharooj Adam, 37 and native to Malé City.
The man is charged with overpowering another individual’s property illegally.
He is to be presented before the Criminal Court at 9am, on December 12.
The police institution has sought public assistance in locating the man and urged the public to reach out to their custodial department through 9991442 if any information on the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
MPS took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the generous assistance and support extended in such cases.
