Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a summons notice for an individual wanted in connection with an ongoing probe.
In a publication on Tuesday, the police institution revealed that they are looking for a man in connection with a case being investigated by the police station in Phase I of Hulhumalé.
The summons notice was publicized as police efforts to locate the man and issue the summons chit were to no avail as his whereabouts remain unknown and even his family is unaware of his current location.
MPS issued the notice in accordance with Section 27 of the code of criminal procedure to be followed by the authority when investigating criminal cases.
As such, summoned is Ahmed Ashraf, 20 and native to Funadhoo island of Shaviyani atoll.
He is wanted for questioning in connection with the case.
Ashraf is to present himself to the Hulhumalé Phase I police station at 11am on December 19.
