The Maldivian leader has signed the book of condolences opened in memory of the former President of China, Jiang Zemin.

The book has been placed at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Maldives.

President Solih, in his message, offered his sincere condolences to the government and the people of China as they mourned the loss of their former leader.

He went on to highlight the remarkable progress and development China has achieved under the leadership of their former leader.

President Solih also commended the great work of the late Chinese president in paving the pave for a more progressive China and the achievements the country made in the international arena under his leadership.

The president offered condolences following the passing of the former Chinese president, to the President of China, Xi Jinping on Wednesday.

In his message, President Solih stated that as China mourns the death of their former President Jiang Zemin, he extends sympathies to the people and President of China, on behalf of the government and people of Maldives.

He went on to highlight that the ex-President of China will be remembered as a visionary leader who made great strides in bringing socioeconomic progress for the people of China.

President Solih also noted that the former Chinese President will be remembered for his efforts in consolidating China’s role as a significant contributor on the international stage.

The Maldivian President also conveyed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family of the late former President of China.
