President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has congratulated the new Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In a message of good wishes and congratulations extended to Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on his election as the Prime Minister of Malaysia on Friday, the Maldivian President expressed confidence that under the able leadership of Anwar Ibrahim, the people of Malaysia will achieve greater success and prosperity.

President Solih also expressed confidence that the existing relations between the Maldives and Malaysia will be further strengthened in the years ahead.

Adding that he looks forward to work closely with the new Prime Minister and the government of Malaysia in addressing common global challenges, President Solih wished for the good health and well-being of the Prime Minister and for the continued progress and welfare of the people of Malaysia.
