Magistrates appointed to two courts
Yasir Mohamed native to Veyvah island in Meemu atoll, was appointed as a magistrate to the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court
Ibrahim Naeem, native to Maduvvari island in Raa atoll, was appointed a magistrate to the Funadhoo Magistrate Court
The two new magistrates are to take their oath of office on December 4

Magistrates have been appointed to two courts.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) revealed this via a statement publicized on Sunday.

As such, magistrates were appointed to the magistrate courts in Kudahuvadhoo island in Dhaal atoll and Funadhoo island in Shaviyani atoll.

Yasir Mohamed native to Veyvah island in Meemu atoll, was appointed as a magistrate to the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court.

Yasir completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Shariah & Law from Villa College and has been working in the judicial sector for three years.

He had been serving as the legal officer at the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court up until his recent appointment.

Ibrahim Naeem, native to Maduvvari island in Raa atoll, was appointed a magistrate to the Funadhoo Magistrate Court.

Naeem attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Shariah & Law from the Islamic University of Maldives. He also holds a Masters in Shariah & Law from Villa College.

He has been employed in the judicial sector for more than five years and had been working as a legal officer at the magistrate court in Thulusdhoo island of Kaafu atoll up until his recent appointment.

The two new magistrates are to take their oath of office on December 4.
