BML becomes official partner of National Surfing Teams

Bank of Maldives has become the Official Sponsor of all national surf teams.

BML states that the Bank entered into an agreement with the Maldives Surfing Association (MSA) to become the Official Sponsor of all national surf teams as part of its commitment to support the development of sports in the country.

Additionally, the bank also agreed to support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship organized by MSA, to promote the development of young talent in the sport.

BML’s In-charge and Acting MD Aishath Noordeen said that the bank is tremendously proud to partner with Maldives Surfing Association through their BML Islamic arm.

She went on to note that the bank continue to be impressed by the talent of local surfers. She expressed that the bank hopes to make a real difference in promoting the sport and supporting young athletes achieve their professional dreams through this partnership.

Bank of Maldives highlights that the bank will continue its investment in sports with partnerships with national associations of football, swimming and tennis.

Most recently, as part of its 40th Anniversary monthly initiatives, the Bank announced its Sports Scholarship for top athletes in association with Maldives Olympic Committee.

The bank revealed that they will be providing three fully funded scholarships for top national athletes to train and develop at recognized high performance training centers worldwide, under the initiative.

The scholarships are open to all registered national sports associations.

The bank will be publicizing details of the application process at a later date.
