BML honors top performing employees at annual staff awards

Bank of Maldives has honored their employees noted for good performance.

The country’s national bank in a press release on Saturday, revealed that their staff members with top performance records, were honored with a series of accolades at its annual staff awards ceremony, held at Social Center on Friday evening.

Taking the podium at the event, the bank’s In-charge and the acting MD, Aishath Noordeen expressed her deep appreciation to all of BML’s employees for their “immense” contribution and commitment.

The BML annual staff awards ceremony saw coveted ‘Employee of the Year’ awards conferred to North Cluster Manager Hassan Aqleem and Head of People Development Mohamed Ashraf.

Further, the CEO’s ‘Award for Outstanding Achievement’ was conferred to three employees; Head of Cards and Payment Governance Fathimath Farihath Waheed, Senior Manager of Premium Banking Abdulla Sobah and BML Mobile App Team.

In addition to this, Public Relations Manager Mohamed Saeed was conferred the ‘Best Leader Award’, with Compliance Manager Ali Zaid Mohamed being awarded ‘Best Manager Award’.

The ceremony also saw awards presented to staff and teams who excelled over the past year in several categories including Best Atoll Branch, Best Team, Best Atoll Employee, Customer Service Star and Award for Innovation.

These awards were conferred by the bank’s acting MD Aishath and the members of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

The country’s national bank revealed that their staff awards mirror a component of their focused human resources strategy.

For four consecutive years, BML has been the recipient of the prestigious “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award”, which the bank revealed reaffirms their progress towards being one of the best and most professional places to work in the region.
