Man accused of sexually assaulting minor, wanted by police

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has publicized the identity of a person wanted in connection with a case linked with child sexual assault.
The police institution revealed that they are seeking Ibrahim Shaaheen, 35 and native to Fuvahmulah City in the south, in connection with a child sexual assault case being probed by the police stationed at Gan island in Laamu atoll.
He is to present himself to the police headquarters at Shaheed Hussain Adam Building or the police post closest to him for questioning, at 2pm, October 17.
So far, authorities have been unable to hand over a summons chit to the suspected child molester, as they are unaware of his current whereabouts.

The public has been urged to contact the Laamu Gan Police Station through 9791261 if any information is attained on the whereabouts of the suspect.
