Maldives-China ties have withstood the test of time: President Solih
President expressed hope to continue working with the Chinese government to enhance the amicable ties between the two countries

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the Maldives-China ties have withstood the test of time.
President Solih made the remarks in his message of felicitation to the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 73rd National Day of China.
In his message, the President conveyed his confidence that Maldives-China ties that have withstood the test of time, would continue to be strong and stable.
President Solih also expressed hope that this festive occasion will bring the Chinese people together with renewed commitments to further develop and advance the country.
In a separate message to Premier of the State Council of China, Li Keqiang, the President expressed hope to continue working with the Chinese government to enhance the amicable ties between the two countries in every area of common interest.
The National Day of China commemorates the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
