Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened self-service banking ATM centers in two more islands.

In an effort to support the island community and the national bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its services in outlying atolls in support of island communities, BML opened the center in Filladhoo and Vashafaru islands in Haa Alif atoll.

These centers will support individuals and businesses in depositing and transferring money on a round-the-clock basis, in addition to the general cash withdrawal service. The center houses a state-of-the-art multi-functional ATM and the bank has been continually investing in efforts to support local communities, BML revealed in a statement.

BML’s CEO and Managing Director Timothy Sawyer revealed that the new ATM centers will help ensure a “seamless” banking experience for individuals and businesses in the two islands.

As part of our network expansion and our continuous effort to make banking accessible for all, we are delighted to support the community of Filladhoo and Vashafaru. The new ATM centres will help ensure a seamless banking experience for individuals and businesses in both islands.”
Tim Sawyer, BML MD, CEO.
