A new Communications Strategist has been appointed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Safaath Ahmed Zahir as the Communications Strategist to the foreign ministry on Monday.
The appointment was made at the level of Deputy Minister.
The new appointee is the founder and the president of the local non-profit Women and Democracy.
Prior to her appointment, Safaath served as an Assistant Director at the President’s Office.
She also served as a financial analyst and business consultant.
With her appointment, Safaath will be taking over as the communications lead at the foreign ministry.
Safaath completed her master's in Finance and Investment at the University of Nottingham and her higher education in Banking and Finance at Monash University.
