Kuwait Airways to begin flights to and from Maldives
The airline chose to start the flights on 31st October

Kuwait’s national airline has announced that Kuwait Airways is to begin flights to Maldives.

The International aviary travel news sources speaking on behalf of Kuwait Airways says the travel is set to start October 31st, the travel being between Kuwait and Velana International Airport (VIA).

When the travel starts there would be two flights per week.

The flights will utilize Airbus A320 Neo model planes.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak Kuwait Airways halted flights fearing the spread of the virus.

However, the services have resumed as the current condition has deescalated.

Within the previous year Kuwait’s cabinet decided on resuming the flights and initiating flights to and from Maldives.

Kuwait is a large source of tourism for Maldives. As 4,325 tourists arrived in Maldives from Kuwait in just the first six months of 2022.
