Police launch manhunt for four wanted in civil court case
Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a search for an individual wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation.
In an announcement on Saturday, the police institution identified the individual as Mohamed Zahuvaan, 21, a native of Gadhdhoo island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
The man is wanted in connection with a case of deception and fraud that is ongoing at the police institution.
MPS revealed that they were unable to locate the man to issue his summons chit, as his address remains unknown and as his family is also unaware of his whereabouts.
The suspect is wanted for questioning in connection with the case.
He is to present himself to the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building where the police headquarters are located, or the Naifaru Police Station or any police station close to where he is, at 10am on August 11.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Naifaru Police Station through 9792187 if any information on the wanted individual is attained.
The police institution has also expressed gratitude for the immense public support and assistance in such matters.
