The president has appointed a new Ambassador of the Maldives to the Federal Republic of Germany and a new Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointments on Wednesday.
Aishath Shaan Shakir was appointed as the new Ambassador of the Maldives to the Federal Republic of Germany, while Ahmed Shiaan was accredited the new Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The accreditation ceremony took place at the President’s Office on Wednesday morning.
The new Ambassador of the Maldives to Germany previously served as the Chief of Protocol at the foreign ministry.
Further, Shiaan most recently filled the position of Additional Secretary at the foreign ministry, prior to his appointment as Chief of Protocol at the ministry.
