Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has stated that France continues to play a key role in Maldives' democratic journey.
The Foreign Minister of Maldives stated this in his message of greetings to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Catherine Colonna, on the festive occasion of the national day of France.3
In his message, the Foreign Minister noted that the partnership between Maldives and France has only grown stronger. He highlighted that the close and cordial relations between the Maldives and France is celebrating 53 years.
Minister Shahid stated that collaborations in key areas of mutual interest including climate change, environmental protection and counter terrorism has only grown stronger within the past years.
Noting that France has continued to play a key role in Maldives' democratic and development journey Foreign Minister Shahid expressed gratitude to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Government of France for the generous assistance and support extended to the Maldives at all times.
The Minister in his message, extended warm wishes to the Foreign Minister, People and the Government of the French Republic on the joyous occasion of the National Day of France, on behalf of the People and the Government of the Maldives.
Minister Shahid extended his best wishes for the continued well-being of the French Minister and concluded his message by extending assurances of his highest considerations.
The National Day of France is celebrated on 14th of July.
