"I look forward to strengthening the friendly relations between Maldives and Solomon Islands"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has expressed his wish to strengthen the friendly relations between the Maldives and Solomon Islands.

Foreign Minister Shahid expressed this in his message of felicitations to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Solomon Islands Jeremiah Manele, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Solomon Islands.

Highlighting that both the country's are Small Island Developing States, Minister Shahid expressed that he looks forward to strengthening the friendly relations between Maldives and the Solomon Islands and enhancing collaboration at the multilateral front.

Minister Shahid extended warm greetings and sincere good wishes to Minister Menele, the Government and the people of the Solomon Islands, on the occasion of their Independence Day, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives as well.

Additionally, the Minister extended best wishes for the good health and well-being of Minister Menele.

Minister Shahid concluded his message by extending assurances of his highest considerations and wishing for further progress of the people of the Solomon Islands.
