The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid remains hopeful that the bonds of Islamic solidarity between Maldives and the Republic of Djibouti will continue to develop.

He said this in his message of felicitations sent to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

As such, the Maldivian minister conveyed his warmest greetings to his Djibouti counterpart as well as the government and people on the “jubilant” occasion.

He went on to express his “earnest” hope that the friendly relations will continue to strengthen and flourish in the years to come.

FM Shahid also expressed hope that the bonds of Islamic solidarity between the two countries will continue to develop.

The Maldivian minister offered the assurances of his highest consideration.

The Republic of Djibouti marks its Independence Day on June 27, annually.
