Work on Hinnavaru Harbor Extension Project, well underway
The project is contracted to be completed within 350 days
Lh. Hinnavaru Harbor Extension Project
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that work on Harbor Extension Project of Lh. Hinnavaru is well underway.
The latest update provided by MTCC says that the company has completed the concrete works of quay wall and that the harbor pavement casting works are currently ongoing.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to reclaim 3.2 hectares of land, dredge 65,170.76 cubic meters, construct a quay wall measuring 421 meters and a breakwater measuring 123.9 meters.
Additionally, the company is also required to build a revetment of 170.55 meters, construct a groyne and a harbor pavement.
The project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning Housing and Infrastructure on 10 November 2020 and mobilized on 13 March 2021.
The project is contracted to be completed within 350 days, and is valued at MVR 99.52 million.
