Authorities are working on sending the dead body discovered inside a house in the congested capital of Maldives, Malé City, back to the country of the deceased.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that so far in the investigation, they have not identified anything suspicious linked to the death.
The police institution is currently working with relevant institutions and bodies to send the body back.
MPS revealed that they received reports of a dead body being discovered inside a house in the Maafannu district of the capital city, at around 11:45am on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as a 57-year-old expatriate.
Further details regarding the identity of the deceased, were not disclosed by the police institution.
However, MPS revealed that further investigations are underway.
