The second shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction as part of the harbor development project in Gan island of Laamu atoll, has been delivered.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the second shipment of precast concrete blocks was delivered to the project site on Friday.

Under the L. Gan Thundi Harbor Development Project, MTCC will be constructing a 360-meter breakwater and a quay wall measuring 310 meters.

Further, a harbor pavement stretching up to 2,501 square meters, will be installed.

The scope of the project also include the construction of a bridge and the installation of streetlights.

The project is valued at MVR 24.71 million.
