The ceremony was held on Thursday night at the Maldives Centre for Social Education.

President's Office disclosed that current and former employees who have served in the President’s Office in permanent posts for over 20 years were presented with plaques of appreciation at the ceremony.

The President made the decision as he believes in honoring the service and professionalism of the staff of the President’s Office and considers their dedication and long service to the office since its founding on November 11, 1968.

He presented plaques to 126 recipients, among whom 20 recipients were posthumous.
