The woman who had been the passenger on a motorcycle that crashed in Hulhumalé on Thursday is suffering a brain bleed, doctors have said.
She is being treated at the ADK Hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
The motorcycle crashed near the Maldives Ports Limited outlet in Hulhumalé shortly after midnight after the rider lost control.
The rider, who had reportedly accelerated far beyond the speed limit, had also sustained serious injuries to his leg.
