A group of children have been given a glimpse of the First Lady’s work, as part of the celebrations to commemorate National Children’s Day.
First Lady Fazna Ahmed spent time with the group of six children on Tuesday, at the official Presidential Residence, Mulee’aage.
The children’s meeting with the first lady was organized by the Child and Family Protection Services.
At the event, the children were given the chance to observe the first lady’s work and inquire about her undertakings as well as get insight into her efforts in child development.
Further the event also paved the opportunity for the children to share their views and visions on issues concerning children.
The event also saw the first lady discussing the needs and expectations of the children.
May 10 is marked as annual National Children’s Day.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih sent a message to the public on the occasion, urging the communities nationwide to make every effort to protect and preserve the dignity of every child.
He noted that the society has a responsibility to ensure the safety and security of children and to ensure their well-being.
