State revenue reaches MVR 7 Billion
Income generated from tax reaches MVR 5.3 Billion
Statistics revealed by the Ministry of Finance shows that the state had earned MVR 7.2 Billion by the end of March 2022
Ministry of Finance revealed that the state has received MVR seven Billion as revenue, so far this year.
Statistics revealed by the Ministry of Finance show that the state had earned MVR 7.2 Billion by the end of March 2022, compared to MVR 5.6 Billion received as revenue from 01 st January to 31 March in 2021.
The Ministry's statistics show that income generated from tax reaches MVR 5.3 Billion. As such, the state received MVR 752.4 Million as General Goods and Services Tax and MVR 2.3 Billion as Tourism Goods and Services Tax. Moreover, MVR 1.1 Billion was generated as Business and Property Tax.
While the sate earned MVR 632.9 Million as Import Duties, statistics show that MVR 179.8 Million was earned as Airport Service Charge.
The state received MVR 1.9 Billion as Non-Tax Revenue, according to the Finance Ministry.
Statistics show that Maldivian state received MVR 4.9 Million as capital receipts and MVR 71.1 Million as Grants, so far this year.
The state has recorded a total expenditure of MVR 9.6 Billion thus far in 2022. This includes MVR 8.9 Billion reported as recurrent and capital expenditure.
