BML proposes MVR 35 per share as dividend
 
The board proposed a final dividend of MVR 35 per share, amounting to MVR 188 million
 
The board proposed an interim dividend of MVR 13 per share amounting to MVR 69.9 million
 
The final dividend will be presented for approval of shareholders at the next AGM

The Board of Directors of Bank of Maldives has proposed MVR 35 per share as dividend.

In an announcement published on 24 March, the bank revealed that its Board of Directors has resolved to propose a final dividend of MVR 35 per share, amounting to MVR 188 million for the financial year 2021.

The board also proposed an interim dividend of MVR 13 per share amounting to MVR 69.9 million.

The final dividend will be presented for approval of shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting. The bank is yet to reveal the date of AGM.

BML states that the interim dividend will be payable to shareholders registered in the Bank’s Share Register as at 10th April 2022, and the final dividend will be payable to all shareholders listed on the Company’s Register on the Book Closure Date, which will be stated in the notice of the Annual General Meeting.
