The Bank of Maldives (BML) has celebrated their long-serving employees.
The country’s national bank held a special event on Wednesday, to celebrate the loyalty and dedication of their long-serving employees.
The employees were conferred awards for their years of service and dedication towards the bank, some of them have served the bank for 15, 20, 25, 30 and even 35 years.
Among the 29 employees who received awards, a special commendation was awarded to SWIFT Service Manager Amshooda Naeem, Customer Service Manager Aminath Naseem and Manager of Cheque Processing Aishath Shadna for 35 years of service.
Other notable awardees include Customer Service Officer Fathimath Hussain, Manager of Agent Banking Fathimath Mohamed and Chief Compliance Officer Mariyam Hameed, who have served the bank for 30 years.
Taking the podium at the event, CEO and Managing Director of BML Mohamed Shareef expressed gratitude to the employees for their dedication and commitment throughout the years.
Shareef said that it is a true honor to recognize and celebrate those who have devoted many years of service to BML and extended a special acknowledgement to Amshooda, Aminath, and Shadna, who have been invaluable members of BML for the past 35 years.
The country’s national bank boasts the largest banking network in the island nation and remains one of the largest employers in the country as well, with more than 99 percent of its staff being proud Maldivians and over a third being based in islands.

In addition to this, the bank also holds regular events to celebrate top performing staff and recognize their loyal service.
