Tunisia achieved independence on March 20, 1956 and Namibia officially became independent on March 21, 1990

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid sends messages of felicitations to Tunisia and Namibia, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the countries.

Foreign Ministry revealed that Minister Shahid sent the message of felicitations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Tunisia.

In his message, Minister Shahid extended the felicitations to the Government, and the people of Tunisia. He expressed hope that the close bonds of friendship between Maldives and Tunisia will continue to prosper and flourish.

Minister Shahid, also conveyed his best wishes for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Tunisia, in the message.

Foreign Minister Shahid sent his message of felicitations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Namibia, to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Minister Shahid sent his greetings and good wishes to the Government and the friendly people of Namibia. Mentioning the auspicious occasion of Namibia's Independence Day, Minister Shahid stated that he is confident that the warm relations between Maldives and Namibia will continue to expand and flourish in the years ahead.

Tunisia achieved independence on March 20, 1956, from nearly a century of French colonial rule. This year the country celebrated its 66th year of independence.

Namibia officially became independent on March 21, 1990.
