MTCC delivers shipment of rock boulders needed for K. Girifushi breakwater construction project

Girifushi breakwater construction project in Girifushi island
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the project to construct the breakwater of the harbor in Girifushi island in Kaafu atoll is well underway.
According to MTCC, they have now delivered the second shipment of rock boulders needed to construct the breakwater around Girifushi island’s harbor.
The delivery was made to the project site on Sunday.
Currently, MTCC is working on the breakwater bed preparation component of the project.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to construct a breakwater measuring 268 meters.
Further, the project also included the construction of a 46-meter channel breakwater.
MTCC revealed that the project is valued at MVR 18.3 million.
