17 more Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Kulhudhuffushi City.
According to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, the positive cases discovered on Friday include 14 contacts of a positive case detected on Thursday and three persons who attended the Flu Clinic after exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms.
With this, the active coronavirus cases across the northern city have risen to 41.
On Thursday, healthcare workers in the city collected 101 samples for testing, at a time the caseload across the city has been surging in recent days. Of these, one returned positive and one remains inconclusive.
After a while since the last Covid-19 case was reported in the northern city, Kulhudhuffushi confirmed more Covid-19 cases from 20 December 2021 onwards.
Since then, a total of 50 residents have contracted Covid-19, including three doctors at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital.
