Vice President Faisal Naseem has assured that efforts will be carried out to find agreeable solutions to the issued facing the community of Nolhivaranfaru island in Haa Dhaal atoll.
He made this remark during a meeting held with the councilors of the island, where discussions were held on the development projects planned for the island.
The meeting saw councilors briefing VP Naseem on their concerns regarding the most pertinent issues, including solving the issue of beach erosion, enhancing healthcare services, ensuring the continuity of ambulance services, boosting banking services as well as the infrastructural needs of the island school and road development initiatives.
Concerns revolving around the island's harbor as well as socio-economic requirements of the island residents were also shared with the vice president.
Listening to these concerns, VP Naseem revealed that funds for the island’s road development project have already been earmarked in the state budget for 2022.
He also shared the latest updates on ongoing and planned development initiatives for the island community.
