The body of the murdered Philippines national employed as a nurse at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has been brought back to the Maldives after autopsy.

Sources report that Mary Grace was employed as a worker at the Dialysis Center of IGMH and her spouse was arrested in connection to the murder shortly after on October 27.

The Criminal Court on October 28 remanded the man by 15 days.

The case was initially reported as a suicide by hanging. However, the police arrested her spouse, 29 years of age and also a Filipino employed as a nurse in IGMH, under suspicions of murder as there were no signs of suicide by hanging, on the victim’s body.

The Filipino nurse’s suspicious death was reported in October, and her body was transported to India for a postmortem examination last week.
